The iconic Canadian retailer, Zellers, is making a comeback in Winnipeg on April 4th, much to the excitement of locals who have been eagerly awaiting its return. The St. Vital Centre Hudson’s Bay location will house the new store, bringing back feelings of nostalgia for longtime customers. This marks a new chapter for the brand, which had closed its doors in 2020.
The reopening of Zellers isn’t just limited to Winnipeg, however, as the company has also announced the opening of stores in other provinces such as British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Alberta and Ontario stores are already up and running. Zellers has also launched an online store featuring a range of products from kitchen and bath to baby and kids toys and apparel.

While the physical stores are sure to be a big draw, Zellers is also reviving its beloved Diners on Wheels, which were a hit with customers in the past. The company has promised to release a schedule soon, allowing people to catch a glimpse of these iconic diners in their communities.
It’s clear that the return of Zellers is a significant event for many Canadians, who have fond memories of the brand. With the opening of physical stores and the launch of an online store, the company is positioning itself as a one-stop-shop for all of life’s essentials, from baby gear and home decor to apparel basics for men and women.
