2026 Winnipeg Fringe Festival at Old Market Square

Old Market Square is the vibrant outdoor hub of the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, offering a lively atmosphere filled with free entertainment, delicious food, beverage patios, and a colourful vendor market. Admission to the outdoor site is free, making it a popular destination whether you're attending theatre performances or simply enjoying the festival atmosphere.

Throughout the festival, talented street performers entertain crowds with comedy, acrobatics, and amazing stunts, while local musicians perform on the Bell MTS Outdoor Stage. Visitors are encouraged to support these performers with donations, as they rely on the generosity of festival audiences.

The Bell MTS Outdoor Stage features free live music every day of the festival, including weekday noon-hour concerts and evening performances that keep the Square lively from 8:00 PM until midnight. It's one of Winnipeg's best free summer music destinations.

When it's time for a break, visitors can relax at the Liquor Mart Patio or Torque Brewing Beer Tent and choose from a wide selection of food trucks serving everything from wood-fired pizza and Indian cuisine to mini donuts, churros, oysters, and more.

Browse the Vendor Market located in the Red River College courtyard, where local artisans showcase unique handmade products. Festival amenities include a Culligan water-filling station, public washrooms, a changing station, and an ATM conveniently located at the Patio.

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, visitors are asked to leave pets at home. Trained service dogs are welcome.
