Fitness in the Park

Fitness in the Park offers an exciting lineup of free lunch hour fitness classes. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors and move your body with downtown fitness providers on your lunch break.

Tuesday & Thursday classes are cancelled for the rest of the season. 

We’re excited to offer another great lineup of Fitness in the Park classes this summer! Check out our weekly schedule below:

Monday:

Yoga Public at Memorial Park (470 York Avenue)

Wednesday:

9Round at Millennium Library Park (207 Donald Street)

Friday:

Yoga Public at Manitoba Legislative Grounds – East Lawn alongside Kennedy St. (450 Broadway Avenue)

Starting Monday July 19th, you will no longer need to register for Fitness in the Park classes. 

Classes begin June 14 and run Monday – Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. until September 17.

In the event of bad weather, classes will be cancelled for that day. Cancellation announcements will be made by 11 a.m. on that day, on this page and our Downtown Winnipeg BIZ social media accounts.

Want to keep track of the classes you’re making it to AND maybe win a prize while you’re at it? Make sure to pick up a Fitness in the Park tracker at your next class! Each class you make it to, you will get your card stamped. There are four sections on the card, for each section you complete or reach, it represents a prize tier. Depending on how many stamps you get by the end of the season, you can enter to win a draw for a downtown gift card! Cards will need to be dropped off at the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ office (426 Portage Avenue) by September 24th to enter.

5-18 classes: Chance to win a $25 gift card

19-36 classes: Chance to win a $50 gift card

37-54 classes: Chance to win a $75 gift card

55-72 classes: Chance to win a $100 gift card

Please do not attend a class if you or a family member is sick.

Our Instructors:

Morfit: Morfit offers a variety of classes depending on what day you attend Fitness in the Park!

Wednesday class: Strength in the Sun (strength based)

Friday class: Sweat in the Sun (cardio based)
