CanMade: A Handy App for Finding Canadian-Made Products 

With the 25% tariffs on Canadian goods making headlines, a lot of people are looking for ways to support local businesses and keep more of their money in Canada. CanMade was created by Hashim Farooq, a developer from Brandon, Manitoba, who saw firsthand how tough it can be to figure out which products are truly Canadian. How CanMade Works

It’s super simple to use:

Scan the barcode – Point your phone at a product’s barcode, and the app will tell you whether it’s Canadian-made.

Check product details – Get info on where the product comes from, plus suggestions for other Canadian alternatives.

Track your shopping habits – The app can even show you what percentage of your grocery list is made up of Canadian products.
