Winnipeg’s Spray Pads Are Now Open!

Heads up, Winnipeg! With the warm weather finally settling in, the city’s spray pads are officially open as of Saturday, May 24. If you’ve been waiting for a way to cool off with the kids, this is it. These splash pads are free, fun, and spread all over the city.

🌊 Just the Basics

  • Open Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., starting May 24 and running through September 1

  • Totally free to use

  • No staff on site—so make sure to keep an eye on the little ones

There are 29 spray pads to choose from, and they’re all open now—except for Boyd Park, which won’t be ready until July 1.

Click the button below for a list spray pads.

A Great Spot to Try: Central Park

If you’re near downtown, Central Park (400 Cumberland Ave) is a nice spot to check out. It’s got a big splash area, shaded spots to sit, and is open the same hours—9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. every day, even on holidays.

Just a heads up on some of the rules:

  • Kids under 12 should be with an adult

  • Leave the glass containers, pets, and bikes at home

  • Water shoes are a good idea (those concrete surfaces can get slippery)

More Spray Pads Around the City

There are plenty to choose from—places like Fort Rouge, Champlain, Gateway, Crescentwood, and Freight House. If you’ve got one in your neighbourhood, it’s probably already running.

Coming Soon: Pools & Wading Pools

Spray pads are just the start!

  • Outdoor pools are opening next—starting June 20, with more by June 27

  • Wading pools start to open July 1, rolling out in stages
