Walk the cobblestone streets and experience the colourful history of the Exchange District. Explore Winnipeg’s riveting political history – from its leadership in the anti-fascism movement, to Cora Hind the first female journalist in Western Canada. Uncover the scandals of Winnipeg’s history, from our first Mayors 2nd life to the ill fated “Gingerbread” City Hall. This hour long walking tour of the Exchange will cover the most thrilling details of Winnipeg’s lurid past, and show you a side of the city you’ve never seen before.

Please note tours can be shortened to accommodate wheelchair accessibility.
To help keep our community safe, immunization cards (unless medically exempt or under 12), wearing face masks and social distancing are mandatory.
Guided walking tours will start at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm, departing from and finishing at Bijou Park in the Exchange District. Tours will be 60 minutes in length with a maximum of 10 guests.
Online registration is required for all guests! Registration will open Friday, September 3rd at noon. A link will be made available here just prior to registration opening.
In regards to the weather forecast: Outdoor events will go on as scheduled if there is light rain. Outdoor events will be cancelled if there are heavy downpours or thunderstorms. Cancellations will NOT be posted.
