Event Description
WHEN
Compared to vehicles powered by internal-combustion motors, electric-powered vehicles are better for the environment, less expensive to operate and much more fun to drive! For these reasons and more, on November 16, 2010, sixteen forward-thinking, environmentally-conscious EV proponents formed the Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association. Since then, many men and women of all ages, in all regions of the province, have joined the Association, to promote the use of plugin electric vehicles.

Incomparable environmental benefits, unbelievably low operating costs and superior performance make EVs the ideal transportation choice for Manitobans. At the prairie’s best EV festival, plugin-electric vehicle owners will be proudly displaying an array of impressive EVs, and eagerly revealing many more reasons why they decided to go electric. Also, EV equipment installers will be on hand to answer questions about convenient EV charging options. In accordance with the National Drive Electric Week 2021 COVID-19 safety requirements for in-person outdoor events, the Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association (manitobaEV) requires all festival participants and attendees to wear COVID-19-protective masks. The festival starts at 11:00 a.m., but if you’d like to display a plugin EV at the festival or volunteer to help the organizers, please, arrive by 10:00 a.m. For more info, go to http://www.manitobaEV.ca. Rain or shine, see you there!
