Hey Winnipeg, I just heard some pretty exciting news about Assiniboine Park that I had to share! It turns out the park is kicking off a cool 10-year partnership with Levy Canada—a company known for rocking hospitality at tons of sports, entertainment, and cultural spots around the world. While I’m not an insider or anything, it seems like this is a big win for Winnipeg!

What’s Going On?
From what I gathered, this new deal means the park is gearing up for a whole bunch of fresh events and experiences. Think major festivals, creative food pop-ups, and a completely revamped vibe that might even outdo last summer’s epic comedy festival (which apparently drew over 10,000 people!). One of the neat new ideas is the possibility of having food delivered straight to your picnic spot—so no more trekking back and forth for a bite. There might also be some mobile retail pop-ups where a runner (or anyone on the go) can snag a sports drink or even pick up some sunscreen.

Why It Matters to Us
If you’re like me and love hanging out at Assiniboine Park, here’s what you can expect:

  • Awesome Events: More big-name happenings that make a day at the park even more fun.
  • Better Food & More Convenience: Imagine enjoying your picnic with food delivered right to you, plus grabbing a quick refreshment or sunscreen from a mobile pop-up when you need it.
  • A Fresh Look: Overall upgrades that are set to boost our local tourism and make every visit a bit more memorable.

The best part? This isn’t just about sprucing up the park—it’s about making our community space more vibrant and accessible for everyone in Winnipeg.

Looking Ahead
I’m really excited to see how these changes will shape the park’s future. It sounds like a genuine effort to not only keep the park looking great but also to ensure that there’s always something new and interesting to check out. Whether you’re a regular or planning your first visit, keep an eye on Assiniboine Park—there’s a lot to look forward to!
