Gimli Blues Festival 2025 – A Weekend of Soulful Sounds and Community Spirit

The Interlake is ready to groove as the 3rd Annual Gimli Blues Festival, hosted by Lady Lee, returns to the Gimli Park Pavilion on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6, 2025. Presented by the RM of Gimli in partnership with the Westshore Community Foundation, this free-admission celebration promises two days of outstanding blues performances, lively dancing, and community connection. Guests are encouraged to “bring a tin for the bin” to support local food initiatives.

Enjoy a stellar lineup of Manitoba blues talent, along with an energetic beer garden featuring beverages from Diageo Canada, Interlake Brewing Company, and Frontera Wines. Whether you’re a lifelong blues fan or new to the scene, you’ll be swept away by the rhythm, soul, and heart of this unforgettable event.

Friday, September 5

  • 5:00–6:00 PM – The Blue Note Benders kick off the festival with smooth grooves and high-energy blues.
  • 6:30–8:00 PM – DB & the Deadbeats bring their signature blues-rock sound to the stage.
  • 8:30–10:00 PM – Brent Parkin delivers his renowned guitar-driven blues with a touch of storytelling.
  • 10:30–11:45 PM – Romi Mayes closes out the night with her gritty vocals and heartfelt performances.

Saturday, September 6

  • 11:00–11:45 AM – Tugela Lake starts the day with fresh, feel-good blues.
  • 12:00–1:30 PM – The South Thunderbird Band serves up a powerful blend of blues and rock.
  • 2:00–3:30 PM – Legendary guitarist Billy Joe Green captivates the crowd with his masterful style.
  • 4:00–5:30 PM – DK & the Shakedown keep the energy high with foot-stomping blues grooves.
  • 6:00–7:30 PM – Mark Reeves brings his soulful sound and magnetic stage presence.
  • 8:00–9:30 PM – Little Miss Higgins charms the audience with her unique blend of blues, roots, and storytelling.
  • 10:00 PM–Midnight – The Women in Blues showcase shines a spotlight on powerhouse female blues musicians.

Free Admission to Winnipeg Police Museum
