The Winnipeg Comedy Festival is searching for enthusiastic individuals to join their volunteer team for the upcoming festival, running from April 30 – May 5, 2024. This is your chance to become part of the fun and contribute to Winnipeg's vibrant arts scene!

More than just lending a helping hand, volunteering at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival allows you to:

  • Experience the festival firsthand: Enjoy some of the shows, witness the behind-the-scenes magic, and be right in the heart of the festivities.

Volunteer Roles to Suit Your Interests

The festival offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to match your interests and skills:

  • Audience Ambassador: Be the welcoming face of the festival, greeting guests and assisting them throughout the event.
  • Box Office Attendant: Manage ticket sales and provide assistance to guests with their purchases. Training is provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
  • Patio Host: Join the outdoor fun, ensuring a great time for everyone at the WCF Patio by checking IDs and keeping the atmosphere positive.
  • Bartender (Serving it Safe certified): Serve up beverages and keep festival-goers happy (requires a Serving it Safe certificate).
  • Airport Ambassador: Welcome performers and guests arriving at the airport, and help with their transportation.

About the Festival

The Winnipeg Comedy Festival was launched in 2002 and has since become a staple of the city’s cultural calendar. Produced annually by the Gas Station Arts Centre, the festival has grown to include year-round outreach programs, rural tours, workshops, and television broadcasts.
