Janice and Randy Glays, a couple from Winnipeg, Manitoba, have won the record-breaking $60 million Lotto Max jackpot on March 31, 2023. The Glays are thrilled with their win, which is the largest single-ticket win purchased at retail in Manitoba's history.

Randy purchased the winning ticket, a $6 quick pick, from Superstore located at 215 St. Anne's Road. The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) confirmed that the Glays' win matches the amount of a $60 million jackpot won by a family of four Winnipeggers on a ticket sold through PlayNow.com in January 2021.

During the prize claiming, the couple reminisced about their long-running inside joke about lottery tickets. Janice shared that she always asked Randy, “Why are you buying tickets?” and he always replied, “One day… you never know.” Randy's response turned out to be prophetic as they both screamed in joy and hugged each other when they found out about their win.

At first, he thought he was reading the amount wrong. “I've never seen such a big number!” he exclaimed. “I couldn't believe it. Right away, we gave the ticket to the retailer to double-check it. We both screamed a little and hugged each other – it felt unbelievable and wonderful all at once.”

The couple has described their win as a “generational win” that will change their family's lives for generations to come. They plan to share their massive prize with their family and also spend a little bit on themselves. With their newfound wealth, the Glays are looking forward to making some significant lifestyle changes, such as moving from their apartment to a house with more space and windows, traveling, and enjoying life to the fullest.

The winning Lotto Max numbers on March 31 were 1, 3, 26, 28, 36, 47, and 50. The WCLC has congratulated the couple and wishes them all the best for their future endeavors. The Glays' win serves as a reminder that anyone can win the lottery and change their lives forever.[/fusion_text]
