Celebrate Manitoba's iconic Icelandic Festival with four days of free family-friendly entertainment, live music, cultural exhibits, heritage experiences, and lakeside fun. Visitors can explore the authentic Viking Village, enjoy outdoor concerts, browse the Cultural & Heritage Pavilion, cheer on beach competitions, watch the Sunday night fireworks, and experience one of Manitoba's largest parades on Monday. General admission and access to the festival grounds are free.
Enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring local favourites, tribute bands, cultural performances, and emerging artists at the historic Lyric Theatre in Assiniboine Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax under the evening sky while enjoying live music in one of Winnipeg's most beautiful outdoor venues.
Experience the sights, sounds, and flavours of cultures from around the world during the 55th Folklorama Festival. Children 12 and under receive free admission (up to five free child tickets with each paid regular admission ticket). Regular admission for ages 13 and over is $9.00 (includes all taxes and fees). Seating is first come, first served.
Bring the family to Assiniboia Downs for a fun-filled evening during Manitoba Derby Night. Enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, live children's entertainment, and the excitement of live Thoroughbred racing, making it a great way to celebrate the August Long Weekend. Admission is free.

Enjoy an exciting evening of baseball followed by a spectacular post-game fireworks display lighting up the downtown Winnipeg skyline. Fireworks begin shortly after the conclusion of the Goldeyes game and are included with game admission.
Discover Manitoba's rich sporting history through interactive exhibits, memorabilia, and stories celebrating the province's greatest athletes, builders, and teams. Admission is free.
Explore over 140 years of Winnipeg policing history through exhibits featuring historic uniforms, equipment, photographs, forensic displays, and unique artifacts. Admission is free.
Celebrate Emancipation Day with an evening of live performances, cultural presentations, community speakers, food vendors, and family-friendly activities recognizing the history and ongoing contributions of Black communities in Canada. Registration is required. Admission is free.

Join Parks Canada for Treaty No. 1 Commemoration Day at Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site. The day features Treaty education, Indigenous teachings, cultural programming, bison and sandhill crane presentations, activities for all ages, bannock and jam, and closing ceremonies. Admission is free through the Canada Strong Pass initiative.
