The Transcona Museum is hosting a Spring Break event for children ages 12 and under! The event will take place from March 25th to March 28th and will feature four days of themed activities.
There will be three daily time slots available: 10:45 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm. Each session will last 45 minutes. Pre-registration is required due to limited space, with a maximum of 8 participants per session. One ticket is required per child, and parents or guardians do not require a ticket. Please note that face masks are encouraged inside the museum.
In lieu of an admission fee, participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation. Museum staff will collect all donations and deliver them to the Transcona Food Bank.

Here’s a sneak peek at the daily themes:
March 25th: Art Day – Activities include paper bag book making, yarn pinecones, stained glass art, a scavenger hunt, and a gallery game.
March 26th: Outer Space Day – Activities include crafting paper plate planets, straw rockets, and a people roll telescope, plus a scavenger hunt and a gallery game.
March 27th: Ocean Day – Dive into fun with pool noodle fishing, swimming jellyfish creations, and crafting “oyster pearl” necklaces. There will also be a scavenger hunt and a gallery game.
March 28th: Games Day – Get ready for some friendly competition with a paper cup claw machine, bingo, a scavenger hunt, and a gallery game.
Discover Kids in the Kitchen, a free 8-week program for kids aged 7-12 at NorWest on Alexander. Starting January 6, 2025, from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM, at 1880 Alexander Avenue, this program teaches healthy eating, basic cooking skills, and teamwork. An engaging opportunity for young chefs to learn and grow in a fun environment!
