Open Corydon Returns for Summer 2026

Open Corydon – Little Italy transforms one of Winnipeg's most popular entertainment districts into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination every Sunday throughout the summer. From July 5 to September 6, 2026, a section of Corydon Avenue between Lilac Street and Daly Street is closed to vehicle traffic, creating more space for visitors to explore the neighbourhood on foot.

Visitors can stroll along the avenue while exploring expanded restaurant patios, unique local boutiques, pop-up experiences, public art installations, and the lively atmosphere that makes Winnipeg's Little Italy a favourite summer destination.

Enjoy Historic Little Italy

Known as Winnipeg's historic Little Italy, Corydon Avenue has long been a destination for patios, cafés, international cuisine, shopping, and people-watching. Open Corydon builds on that tradition by giving pedestrians the opportunity to experience the neighbourhood without vehicle traffic.

Throughout the summer, visitors can also enjoy free live music while spending a few hours—or the entire day—discovering the many restaurants, cafés, and local businesses along the avenue.
