Don’t miss First Fridays at The Manitoba Museum, a vibrant cultural evening happening on Friday, August 2 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm! This monthly event offers free admission to all three of the museum’s main attractions: the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery.
Discovery Room & Welcome Gallery – 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Featuring objects representing the 34 Southern Chiefs’ Organization member Nations, this exhibition is a celebration of the past, present, and future. The objects on display exemplify the beauty and resilience of the Anishinaabe and Dakota peoples and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Southern Chiefs’ Organization.
Auditorium – 6:00pm/7:00pm/8:00pm
Join us for a special screening of episode 1 of the 2005 miniseries, “The Science of Star Wars.” Curious about the real science behind the Star Wars films? This miniseries dives into real world examples of what you see in the popular films. Runtime – 50 minutes.
