Celebrate Canada Day at Assiniboia Downs with an exciting evening of live Thoroughbred horse racing, followed by one of Winnipeg’s most spectacular fireworks displays.
Bring your family and friends and experience the excitement of live horse racing. Whether you’re a longtime racing fan or visiting for the first time, Canada Day at the Downs offers an unforgettable summer evening of entertainment. Food trucks and concessions available. DJ Music and drink specials following the fireworks!
Fireworks Display
Cap off your Canada Day celebration with a breathtaking fireworks show by CanFire Pyrotechnics.

Parking Information
Parking is free until 7:30 p.m.
A $10 parking charge will apply to all vehicles entering the grounds after 7:30 p.m.
Free Family Fun: Free family fun events including face painting, bouncy castle and live entertainment. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m.
Arrive early to enjoy the full evening of racing and secure the best parking and seating locations. With exciting live racing, great food, and a spectacular fireworks finale, Assiniboia Downs is the perfect place to celebrate Canada Day.
