Spend an evening exploring the Manitoba Museum during First Fridays, when admission to the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery is free from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. No ticket is required unless otherwise specified, making it an easy opportunity to experience the museum's permanent attractions and special programming.
Visitors can explore The Paper Trail to the 1923 Chinese Exclusion Act exhibition, create a keepsake during button making with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, complete the Bison on the Move scavenger hunt, meet paleontology experts from the University of Manitoba's Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie, and discover how children learn through interactive activities with researchers from the University of Winnipeg Child Development Labs.
The Science Gallery will also be open with hands-on exhibits, including the Toddler Treehouse for young children. Visitors can also meet University of Manitoba researchers at the Living Laboratory in the Explore Science Zone and participate in fun research activities and games.
Take a journey through the night sky with live Planetarium presentations featuring constellations, planets, and the latest space news. Shows begin every 45 minutes starting at 4:30 PM.
