Louis Riel Day at The Forks will be filled with fun, entertainment, and activities for all ages, including a dance party, arts and crafts, a live performance by Al Simmons, and DJs spinning music along the Nestaweya River Trail.

Mama Cutsworth Family Dance Party | Second floor event space | 11 am – 3 pm

  • Featuring guest DJs and hoop dancers

Arts and Crafts with Art City | Second floor atrium | 11 am – 3 pm

  • Includes an arts trading post where participants can exchange their creations with others

Outside at The Forks

Warming Hut Tours | Nestaweya River Trail | 11 am and 1 pm

  • Guided tours showcasing all the new and returning Warming Huts

DJs on the River Trail | Nestaweya River Trail | 11 am – 3 pm

  • DJs will be spinning music from the back of the ice resurfacer as it moves along the Nestaweya River Trail

Al Simmons Performance | The Canopy Rink | 3 pm – 4 pm

  • Al Simmons will deliver a lively performance using his Sounds Crazy Caboose Warming Hut, offering entertainment for all ages

All activities throughout Louis Riel Day at The Forks are free and open to the public.

The Forks Market will be open during standard hours over the long weekend (Saturday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., Sunday and Monday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.) with Learn to Winter activities available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The Forks Winter Park and the Nestaweya River Trail will also be open for skating. Stay up to date on ice and skating conditions at TheForks.com/Skate.
