Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Steam Train in the Park!

This summer, visitors to Winnipeg have the unique opportunity to celebrate a remarkable milestone—the 60th anniversary of the steam train’s service in the park.

The event, set to take place on July 29, promises a day filled with fun and memories as guests are invited to ride the miniature steam train, which has delighted generations. The train, located west of The Pavilion, will chug along the tracks from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, offering rides to all ages.

To commemorate this special occasion, the Assiniboine Park Conservancy is not only offering rides but also serving a slice of cake to mark the train’s six decades of bringing joy to park visitors. The steam train, a fixture in the park since its inauguration, continues to be a symbol of Winnipeg’s rich history and commitment to community enjoyment.
