Kanopy:

  • Indie & International Flavor: Kanopy shines with its curated collection of independent, arthouse, and foreign films. Discover hidden gems from around the world, explore iconic directors’ oeuvres, and broaden your cinematic horizons.
  • Educational Edge: Kanopy’s offerings extend beyond entertainment. Dive into documentaries covering history, politics, current affairs, and more. It’s like a film festival with a bonus side of learning!
  • Simultaneous Streaming: Unlike Hoopla, Kanopy allows for simultaneous streaming on multiple devices. Host a movie night with friends or catch up on separate screens without any fuss.
  • Limited Borrowing: At the beginning of each month, you will receive 15 tickets to be used during that month. (Tickets do not roll over from month to month.) Each title will use a certain number of tickets. The number of tickets and viewing period will be clearly labelled for each title. Most movies are 2 tickets.
