For anyone with cats or dogs in Winnipeg, here’s something worth checking out this weekend. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Winnipeg Humane Society, Feed the Furbabies Canada, and Veterinarians Without Borders North America are teaming up to host a Free Pet Health Clinic from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Valour Community Centre (448 Burnell Street).
This walk-in clinic is offering some really great free services for pets:
💉 Vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and parvovirus
🩺 Basic health check-ups for cats and dogs
🐱 Flea and ear mite treatments for cats
🥫 Free pet food from Feed the Furbabies Canada (while supplies last)
No need to register or book ahead—just show up with your furry friend.
Rabies is something that can be completely prevented with vaccines, yet it’s still a concern worldwide. Events like this not only keep pets safe but also help protect the whole community. Last year over 300 pets got their shots at this same clinic, and it looks like this year could be just as busy.
World Rabies Day is all about prevention and awareness. Stopping by this clinic is a simple way to keep pets healthy while also being part of something bigger that helps animals and people alike.
For updates, it’s worth following the Winnipeg Humane Society and Feed the Furbabies Canada on social media.
