Harbourfront Centre – Waterfront Party & Fireworks
Date: July 1, 2025 – Noon – 11 p.m. (Fireworks at 10:45 p.m.)
Venue: 235 Queens Quay W

Spend the day by the lake with live performances by Digging Roots, Kellylee Evans, and dance crews. Shop the Canadian outdoor market, explore craft tents with the kids, and cap the night with dazzling fireworks over the water.

Ashbridges Bay Park – Flagship Fireworks on the Beach
Date: July 1, 2025 – All Day (Fireworks at 10 p.m.)
Venue: 1561 Lake Shore Blvd E (foot of Coxwell Ave)

Toronto’s biggest fireworks show returns to the beach! Lay out a blanket early, stroll the Boardwalk, and enjoy a spectacular 14-minute fireworks display from floating barges at 10 p.m.

Mel Lastman Square – North York Family Carnival
Date: July 1, 2025 – Noon – 10:15 p.m. (Fireworks at 10 p.m.)
Venue: 5100 Yonge St, North York

East York Canada Day Festival & Parade

Downsview Park – Giant Lawn Party

Thomson Memorial Park – Scarborough Pancakes & Play Zone

Start Canada Day right with a free pancake breakfast, kids’ activities, live performances, and a BBQ lunch—all with a laid-back community vibe.

Fort York – “Proud to Be Canadian” Chinese Heritage Celebration
Date: July 1, 2025 – 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Venue: Fort York National Historic Site, 100 Garrison Rd

Lion dances, folk songs, costume shows, dumpling tastings and more! Celebrate Chinese Canadian heritage inside Toronto’s oldest fort—entry and all activities are free.

Nathan Phillips Square – Flag-Raising & Live Music
Date: July 1, 2025 – Noon – 5:30 p.m.
Venue: 100 Queen St W

Join the flag-raising ceremony, catch indie pop and pow-wow performances, and enjoy interactive art in the heart of the city. (Note: no fireworks here.)

🌆 Free Events Just Outside Toronto

Celebrate Canada Day 2025 in the GTA with free events across Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, and more. Enjoy fireworks, concerts, food trucks, kids’ activities, and cultural shows from morning to night. Highlights include big-name performers like Dallas Smith, Jamie Fine, and Elijah Woods, along with axe-throwing, drone shows, and family zones. Events begin as early as 9 a.m. and end with fireworks at dusk or 10 p.m. Most locations offer free admission, scenic views, and easy transit access. It’s the perfect way to spend July 1 with family and friends—no tickets needed!

Mississauga – Celebration Square Party
Date: July 1, 2025 – 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (Fireworks at 10 p.m.)
Venue: 300 City Centre Dr

Live performances, a Camp Canuck zone for families, artisan vendors, and over 25 food trucks—it’s a big party. Music acts include Cirque Revolution, Anjulie, and Connor Price. Fireworks wrap it up at 10 p.m.

Brampton – Chinguacousy Park Bash
Date: July 1, 2025 – 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Fireworks around 9 p.m.)
Venue: 9050 Bramalea Rd

Brampton’s doing it big with country music headliners Dallas Smith and James Barker Band, plus local vendors, family games, and fireworks once the sun goes down.

Markham – Canada Day at Markham Centre
Date: July 1, 2025 – 3 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (Fireworks at 10 p.m.)
Venue: Enterprise Blvd & Birchmount Rd

There’ll be performances by Alx Veliz and Jamie Fine, along with family activities, crafts, and fireworks at night. It’s presented by Tim Hortons and has a super festive vibe.

Vaughan – Day Party at North Maple Park
Date: July 1, 2025 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Venue: 11085 Keele St

If you’re looking for fun before noon, this one starts early and includes live music, axe-throwing, stilt walkers, sensory buses, and kids’ rides. It’s short but packed with activities.

Oakville – Lakeside Evening Celebration
Date: July 1, 2025 – 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Fireworks at dusk)
Venue: 2340 Ontario St, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

It’s got a chill waterfront vibe with community performances, cultural displays, food trucks, and a great view for the fireworks. Plus, there’s a free shuttle from Bronte GO, which makes it super easy to get to.

Richmond Hill – All-Day Canada Fest
Date: July 1, 2025 – 2 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Venue: 1300 Elgin Mills Rd E

Food trucks, games, local performers, and Elijah Woods takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. before the fireworks. It’s a solid full-day plan if you’re in the area.

Burlington – Spencer Smith Park Blowout
Date: July 1, 2025 – 9 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. (Drone + fireworks at dusk)
Venue: 1400 Lakeshore Rd

They start early with a 5K run and yoga, then there’s live music, a kids’ zone, food vendors, and a combo drone-and-fireworks show by the water. Probably one of the most scenic spots on this list.

Oshawa – Fun at Lakeview Park
Date: July 1, 2025 – 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Fireworks around 10 p.m.)
Venue: 55 Lakeview Park Ave

This event’s been getting a lot of love in recent years. You’ll find beach volleyball, science tents, art stations, a big kids’ area, and fireworks over Lake Ontario to close things out.

Milton usually hosts a solid Canada Day event with family zones, entertainment, and fireworks, but as of now, the 2025 info isn’t posted yet. Check the Town of Milton website as we get closer to July 1.
