The 4th Annual Ice Fishing Festival is happening again, offering a fun and educational outdoor experience for families and fishing enthusiasts. Hosted by the Manitoba Wildlife Federation (MWF) in partnership with Cabela’s Canada and FortWhyte Alive, this event provides a great opportunity to try ice fishing, learn from experts, and enjoy a winter day outside.

Hosted by the Manitoba Wildlife Federation (MWF) in partnership with Cabela’s Canada and FortWhyte Alive, this event provides a great opportunity to try ice fishing, learn from experts, and enjoy a winter day outside.

All fishing gear provided – No need to bring any equipment.
No fishing license required – Anyone can participate.
Expert anglers on-site – Learn techniques and tips from experienced fishers.
Live seminars – Industry leaders will share insights on successful fishing trips.
Catch & release only – Helping to support conservation efforts.
Free prize draws – A chance to win exciting prizes.
Deaf-friendly event – ASL interpretation available.

🎉 This annual event draws over a thousand attendees each year. It’s a great opportunity for families, beginners, and experienced anglers to enjoy ice fishing while gaining valuable knowledge about sustainable fishing practices.

The Manitoba Wildlife Federation is looking for volunteers to assist during the event. No ice fishing experience is needed—just a willingness to help and enjoy the outdoors.

The Manitoba Outdoor Show is another exciting event for outdoor enthusiasts, offering exhibits, gear, and activities for those who love fishing, hunting, and adventure. Volunteers assisting at the Manitoba Wildlife Federation booth will receive free access to the show for the entire weekend.
