If you are in Winnipeg for the World Police & Fire Games, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Winnipeg Firefighters Museum, a hidden gem that showcases the city’s rich firefighting heritage. The museum is located at 56 Maple St, in a historic fire hall that was built in 1904. You can see a collection of antique fire engines, equipment, uniforms, and memorabilia that tell the stories of the brave men and women who have served as firefighters in Winnipeg.
The museum is normally only open on Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, but during the WPFG, it will be open daily from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. This is your chance to explore the museum at your own pace and learn more about the history and culture of firefighting in Winnipeg.

To celebrate the Games, the museum has also prepared a new sports exhibit on the second floor, where you can see how firefighters in Winnipeg have enjoyed sports and other community activities in their leisure time. You can find photos, trophies, medals, and other artifacts that showcase the athletic achievements and passions of Winnipeg’s firefighters.
