As September 8 coincides with the final day of the Jean Paul Riopelle retrospective show, we will be celebrating by creating hockey card colour collages referencing the artwork by contemporary artist Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf, who is featured in the exhibit. Phaneuf’s piece is a tribute to Jean Paul Riopelle, who was a fervent hockey fan. Throughout the day, visitors of all ages can take part in this art-making activity in the Skylight Gallery and use pieces of vintage hockey cards to create their own version of a hockey card collage artwork.
