The City of Winnipeg is set to open outdoor pools beginning June 25, 2021, and wading pools beginning July 1, 2021 in accordance with current provincial public health orders.
The following outdoor heated pools are scheduled to open Friday, June 25:
• Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool
• St. Vital Outdoor Pool
• Transcona Aquatic Park
• Westdale Outdoor Pool
All other outdoor pools will open for the season on Monday, June 28 and wading pools will begin opening Thursday, July 1.
Residents are encouraged to book swim blocks for most outdoor pools prior to arriving at the facilities, as there is no guarantee of drop-in admissions upon arrival, due to capacity restrictions.
Pre-registration for swim blocks will be available for all heated outdoor pools and Provencher Park Outdoor Pool on a week-by-week basis beginning Monday, June 21.
Register at leisureONLINE to reserve an available block, or contact 311 for assistance with registering. Residents can also register on-site for available blocks, as facilities open.
Swimmers must come prepared to swim as lockers will not be available, and there will be limited use of change rooms, washrooms, and showers.
Admission to all other outdoor pools and all wading pools will be on a drop-in basis only.
Capacity at the pools will be reduced and residents are reminded to follow all public health orders regarding gatherings and physical distancing.
