Indigenous People in Policing Career Workshop: Gain Insights into a Fulfilling Career Path

The Winnipeg Police Service Recruiting Unit is hosting a comprehensive Indigenous People in Policing Career Workshop. This two-day event is designed specifically for Indigenous individuals interested in exploring a rewarding career in law enforcement.

Event Details:

  • Dates: May 31st & June 1st, 2024
  • Location: Winnipeg Police Service Headquarters (245 Smith Street)
  • Target Audience: Indigenous People 18 years of age and older
  • Workshop Schedule: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM both days
  • Application Deadline: Friday, May 3rd, 2024

Workshop Highlights:

  • Gain valuable insights into the Indigenous People in Policing career path.
  • Learn about the Winnipeg Police Service's hiring process and what to expect.
  • Participate in interactive sessions with officers and personnel.
  • Build connections and network with fellow participants.

  • Limited spots available.
  • Selection based on application materials including a cover letter and adherence to set criteria.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Recruiting Unit.

Additional Information:

  • The workshop is free to attend.
  • Successful applicants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
  • Full attendance throughout the workshop is mandatory.

The deadline for applications is Friday, May 3rd, 2024.
