Take part in a special event dedicated to Truth & Reconciliation with free admission to Manitoba Children's Museum as guests reflect on the legacy of residential schools in Canada.
Programming and activities will run from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with FREE general admission available throughout the day.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear an orange shirt, symbolizing awareness of the impacts of residential schools and remembrance that every child matters.

Event Schedule
● Alice RL from Forum Art Centre will facilitate the creation of a collaborative nature mural titled Growing Together (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
● Guest speakers will include:
● Métis educator Teresa Byrne will host a Michif language workshop and Métis paper vest craft activity (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
● Explore the Manitoba Museum’s Inuit artifact display table (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
● Create a take-home decorative heart for a Heart Garden, each heart representing the memory of a child lost to the residential school system (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM).

The event features stunning light displays, festive music, and a heartwarming story of Christmas. Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Town of Stonewall’s Winter Family Fun Event at Quarry Park! Families can enjoy ice skating, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, along with free hot chocolate and a warming fire from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Hot dogs will be available to roast for $2.50, and the evening wraps up with a fireworks display at 6:00 PM. A festive outdoor celebration for all ages.

The Sage Creek Residents Association (SCRA) is bringing back its popular New Year’s Eve Fireworks to Sage Creek! This annual community celebration lights up the sky at 9:00 PM and takes place at the same location as previous years. A festive and familiar way for residents and visitors to ring in the New Year together.
