As the holiday season approaches, Winnipeg is set to welcome back a cherished tradition: Operation Red Nose. Starting this weekend, on November 29, 2024, this volunteer-driven program will once again offer safe rides home to ensure our community celebrates responsibly.

Operation Red Nose is a free, confidential service that provides safe transportation for individuals and their vehicles during the holiday season. By offering this service, the program aims to reduce impaired driving incidents and promote road safety.

What is Operation Red Nose?

Operation Red Nose is a free, confidential service that provides safe transportation for individuals and their vehicles during the holiday season. By offering this service, the program aims to reduce impaired driving incidents and promote road safety.

Service Details for Winnipeg

In Winnipeg, Operation Red Nose will operate on the following dates:

  • November 29-30
  • December 6-7
  • December 13-14
  • December 20-21
  • December 27-28
  • December 31

On these nights, from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM, a team of volunteers will arrive to drive you and your vehicle home safely. While the service is free, donations are encouraged, with all proceeds supporting local youth and community programs.

How to Use the Service

To request a ride, call 204-947-NOSE (6673) during operating hours. A team of three volunteers will be dispatched: one to drive your vehicle, one to follow in an escort vehicle, and one to navigate. This ensures both you and your vehicle arrive home safely. Click save
