How to Donate

● Gather Your Donations: Round up new or gently used winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, and scarves. They need all sizes, from tiny tots to teens.

● Drop-Off Locations: You can drop off your donations at various spots around Winnipeg. Some main drop-off points include United Way Winnipeg’s office at 580 Main Street and participating Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service stations.

● Monetary Donations: Prefer to give cash? No problem! You can donate online through the United Way Winnipeg website. These funds go towards buying new winter gear for kids.

By donating, you’re directly helping a child stay warm and happy this winter. Every coat counts!

How to Get a Free Coat

Know a kid who needs a winter coat? Koats for Kids has got you covered. Here’s how to get a free coat:

● Contact a Community Partner: Families in need can can contact to one of Koats for Kids’ community partners, like schools, community centers, or social service agencies. These partners help identify kids who need winter gear and make sure they get it.

● Request Assistance: Once identified, the community partner will submit a request to Koats for Kids on behalf of the family. The program then works to get these requests filled as quickly as possible.

● Receive Your Coat: The requested winter gear is delivered to the community partner, who then hands it out to the family.

Koats for Kids makes sure every child has the warmth they need to enjoy the winter months.
