“In My Living Room” showcases Takashi Iwasaki’s exploration of pleasure through clay objects for intimate spaces. Born in Japan and based in Winnipeg for 20 years, Iwasaki’s diverse artistic background includes painting, embroidery, and woodworking. Discovering clay during his MFA, he now focuses on its unique potential to capture fleeting moments of joy. The exhibition features prototypes and works-in-progress, with Iwasaki ingeniously crafting functional pieces like stools and tables to overcome display challenges.
