Imagine getting paid while you LEARN! Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s Uncertified Home Care Attendant training program will prepare you for a rewarding career in health care in just 4 weeks.

Are you looking for a stable, rewarding job that lets you make a real difference in people’s lives? Look no further than the Home Care Program from the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). They are currently offering a paid training and employment opportunity for individuals who want to become Uncertified Home Care Attendants.

As an Uncertified Home Care Attendant, you’ll be responsible for providing person-centred care to elderly individuals or those with cognitive or physical impairments. If you have prior experience in this field, the WRHA encourages you to apply for their program. They offer both part-time and full-time opportunities, so you can choose the schedule that works best for you.

Their paid training program lasts four weeks and covers all the skill sets you’ll need to be successful in your new career. You’ll learn about routine practices for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, proper ergonomics and fall prevention, safe client handling, lifts and transfers using a variety of techniques, dignity in care, mental health, communication, and more. Plus, you’ll earn $19+/hour during the full-time training program, ensuring that you’re compensated fairly for your time and effort.

After completing your full-time and hands-on training, you’ll participate in a practicum in the community to hone your skills and gain real-world experience.

The Home Care Program is a high-demand field, offering job stability and flexibility for those who choose to pursue it. As an Uncertified Home Care Attendant, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your clients, helping them to live with dignity and independence.
