Beginning at noon on June 3, 2021, The City of Winnipeg is opening select spray pads for residents who need them as an option to provide some relief from the heat.

Residents who have the means to cool off at their personal residences are encouraged to not use the spray pads at this time, so they are available for those who do not have another option. We also recommend limiting your time at the spray pad to a maximum of 30 minutes at a time.

The spray pads will be monitored by our Community Service Ambassadors, as all public health orders regarding gatherings and physical distancing are in effect.

The spray pads are open daily from noon to 8 p.m. The City of Winnipeg will not be sanitizing spray pads and on-site washrooms will not be available for use. Please avoid using spray pads if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

At this time, the provincial public health orders allowing for the operation of spray pads are set to expire at 12:01 a.m. on June 12, 2021.
