Event Description

Get ready for a summer of toe-tapping tunes and good times under the Manitoba sky! The Selkirk Concert Series kicks off its season on June 8th, 2024, with a double dose of country music at the beautiful Selkirk Waterfront.
Just a reminder: Concerts never cancel due to rain; they relocate instead. Announcements for relocation will be made here and on social media.
Season Opener ignites the dance floor:
● First up, the Hearts on Fire Band, a five-piece act known for their love of 90s country, will have you swaying to classics by Pam Tillis and Marty Stuart. Dust off your cowboy hat and boots – it's gonna be a boot-scootin' good time! The music starts at 7:00 pm.
● Following at 8:30 pm, the Sean Taylor Band takes the stage with a high-energy mix of country, rock, and pop that's guaranteed to get you moving. This six-member group is a party waiting to happen!

More summer nights, more music:
The concerts keep rolling throughout the summer.
● On July 20th, Rock the Waterfront brings Dreams and Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, to the stage at 8:00 pm. Get ready to relive the magic of Fleetwood Mac! Later that night, at 8:30 pm, Zed Zeppelin brings the thunder with their Led Zeppelin tribute, promising an authentic rock experience.
● On August 10th, the Music on Manitoba event kicks off with a Night Market from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, featuring handmade treasures from local artisans (think Bud and Bloom!). The music starts at 7:00 pm with A.R Cash, a duo that celebrates Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash with both their music and stories. To close out the summer, Damn the Torpedoes, Canada's Prairies' premier Tom Petty tribute band, takes the stage at 8:30 pm, ensuring a night filled with the unforgettable music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
The Selkirk Concert Series is your chance to soak up some summer vibes, enjoy great music, and celebrate the spirit of the community. These free, family-friendly concerts promise to be a highlight of your summer, creating memories that will last long after the final song fades away. So grab your lawn chair, pack a picnic basket, and head down to the Selkirk Waterfront for a summer filled with music under the stars!
