Y2K Takeover: New Year’s Day at The Forks
Step into 2026 with free, family-friendly programming at The Forks! Join in for face painting, storytelling, live music, karaoke, drag performances, yoga, fitness classes, and outdoor fun.
New Year’s Day entertainment draws inspiration from the late 1990s and early 2000s, shaping the sound, style, and overall vibe of performances throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the theme by dressing in throwback streetwear or Y2K-era pop and dance fashion.

Fitness and Wellness Classes

Adrienne Shum and a team of instructors lead free yoga, fitness, and Pilates sessions throughout the day. Registration is recommended.
Skating Lessons

Guided skating lessons run from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. All ages and skill levels are welcome, with equipment available to rent.
Family Activities
📍 Agowiidiwinan Centre
The Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba hosts family-friendly activities and storytelling sessions. Free hot chocolate and bannock are available throughout the day.
Raw Oyster Bar
📍 Fireside Lounge
Fresh, shucked-to-order oysters by Raw Oyster Bar, kicking off Oyster Nights Under Patio Lights, happening every Thursday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
