Join Ka Ni Kanichihk's Community Solstice Dinner on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 34 Higgins Avenue. This event will feature two seating times for a community feast: the first from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and the second from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The celebration includes a Sacred Fire lighting at 10:30 AM and a Pipe Ceremony starting at 11:00 AM. Gifts will also be available for small children, making it a festive event for all to enjoy before the holidays.
The 7th Annual Two-Spirit Powwow in Winnipeg will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at the RBC Convention Centre, located at 375 York Ave. Grand entries will take place at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. This free event is open to the public and welcomes all dancers and drum groups, with an honorarium for those who register. With a vibrant vendors market from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the powwow offers a unique opportunity to experience and celebrate Two-Spirit culture in Winnipeg.
