Every winter, many Winnipeg arts organizations come together to present a city-wide celebration of art in a festival called Winterruption. This year the festival runs Jan 22nd-26th. It might be cold outside. It might be dark. But we’ve got ART, and we’ve got A LOT of it.
Arts organizations in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon all host Winterruption festivals to brighten the winter, and they all share the work of booking artists and making plans. So collaborative! So teamwork! The WECC and Real Love WInnipeg are proud to be collaborators in this coolness.
Winterruption Winnipeg 2025 is happening at The WECC, The Canadian Museum of Human Rights,The Forks, Park Alleys,The handsome Daughter, Park Theatre, and Sidestage. Other collaborators include Sakihiwe, Soul Supreme, Synonym Arts Consultation, and Winnipeg Pro Wrestling. What a team!
We send a special thanks to the Canada Arts council for their generous support this year.
