Starting January 2026, the gallery is opening its doors for free every Wednesday evening,
offering a vibrant mix of art, music, and community connection.

Whether you're looking for a unique date night, an after-work hang-out,
or a way to explore the world’s largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art,
WAG Wednesday Nights is the city's premier weekly cultural event.

When: Every Wednesday Night
Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Cost: FREE Admission
Location: WAG-Qaumajuq (Entry via Qaumajuq doors at Memorial Blvd & St. Mary Ave)
Duration: This program is scheduled to run through 2029.

Why You Should Visit

WAG Wednesday Nights isn't just a quiet stroll through a museum;
it’s a rotating showcase of Winnipeg’s creative talent.
Each week features curated programming designed to spark inspiration:

  • Live Music & DJs: From local headliners like Begonia to late-night DJ sets.
  • Interactive Activities: Retro gaming nights, “Electric Relaxation” sessions, and hands-on workshops.
  • Food & Drink: A cash bar featuring specialty cocktails and local brews.
  • Expert Tours: Artist talks and guided gallery tours of current exhibitions.

Plan Your Visit

With the support of the Power Corporation of Canada,
WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to making art accessible to everyone.
Since these free nights are popular and capacity is limited,
arriving early is recommended to secure a spot for live performances.
