🌟 Teddy Bears’ Picnic: A Heartwarming Community Celebration! 🌟

Date: Sunday, September 8, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg

Dr. Goodbear, Manitoba’s beloved mascot for hope and healing, cordially invites families to the 35th annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic! Presented by Humphrey Window and Door Systems, this cherished event promises a day of joy, learning, and community spirit.

🧸 Event Highlights:

● Dr. Goodbear Clinic: Frontline staff from HSC Children’s Hospital will be on hand to triage and care for kids’ teddy bears. Watch as these cuddly companions undergo medical tests, including MRIs, X-rays, and casting.

● I Want to Be a Scientist Tent: Hosted by the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM), this interactive tent sparks imagination through science-based activities. Discover how these concepts apply in real-world medical settings.

🥞 Don’t Miss:

● Teddy Bears’ Pancake Breakfast: Start your day with fluffy pancakes served by IHOP ($5) from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

● Last Dr. Goodbear Clinic Visit: The final clinic session begins at 3:00 pm.

🚗 Park and Ride: Stay tuned for upcoming park and ride locations!

🌈 Mission Statement: The Teddy Bears’ Picnic aims to create lasting memories for families while fostering a developmentally appropriate understanding of hospitals and research environments. By participating, kids gain comfort and familiarity with healthcare settings.
