The Manitoba UPO Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates the Filipino culture and cuisine through the upo, or bottle gourd. This versatile vegetable can grow very long and has many uses in Filipino dishes.
The festival features a competition to see who can grow the longest and heaviest upo, as well as other activities, entertainment, and food stalls. There will also be educational presentations on the health benefits of upo and other Filipino vegetables.
The Manitoba UPO Festival is a great way to learn about Filipino culture and cuisine, and to enjoy some delicious food. It is also a great opportunity to support local Filipino businesses.
