🇮🇸 Icelandic Festival of Manitoba – Islendingadagurinn Returns to Gimli | August 1–4, 2025

Dates: Friday to Monday, August 1–4, 2025
Admission: Free and open to all
Celebrate Icelandic culture, heritage, and summer fun at the 136th annual Icelandic Festival of Manitoba – Islendingadagurinn. Held in scenic Gimli, just one hour north of Winnipeg, this iconic event brings together history, entertainment, and community for four unforgettable days.
Most events and activities are free or at low cost.

- ⚔️ Viking Village & Combat Demonstrations: Live-action Viking battles and an immersive Norse camp

- 🍽️ Icelandic Food: Try traditional dishes like pönnukökur, vinarterta, kleina, and pylsur
- 🏃 Races & Competitions: 1-mile, 5-mile, 10-mile runs and the popular Viking dunk challenge
