Join us for Spring Break to celebrate the joys of childhood – dancing, singing, playing, laughing, and creating.

Before you explore the galleries, ask for our Discovery Activity booklet at the Level 1 Coat Check. This family‐friendly Discovery Activity takes you through the Museum’s galleries on a journey of discovery and fun!

Free family‐friendly entertainment

Join TiBert le Voyageur – will open in a new tab for fun and engaging children’s programming from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuesday, March 28

11:05 a.m. – Little Monsters Dance – will open in a new tab

Get dancing as you join in on a high energy hip‐hop dance workshop featuring team building, warm‐up, choreography and games.

11:40 a.m. – Sing along with Mimi and Coco

Participate in a bilingual sing‐ along as you sing and dance to some favourite childhood songs.

12:15 p.m. – Jay Stoller Drum Workshop – will open in a new tab

Experiences the exhilaration of creating rhythms and music together in this interactive program that uses a variety of instruments including drums and Boomwhackers.

12:50 p.m. – Chanelle Munroe Magic Show – will open in a new tab
Be prepared to be amazed by Métis magician Chanelle Munroe as you are transported from everyday reality.

1:25 p.m. – Micah Baribeau

Sing along with Francophone singer and songwriter Micah Baribeau.

Wednesday, March 29

11:05 a.m. – Sarah Teakle Hula Hoop Workshop – will open in a new tab

Join in on a “Stay & Play” workshop experience, where audience members (young and old) can try their hand at juggling, hula hooping, and plate spinning!

11:40 a.m. – TiBert et Douzie – will open in a new tab

TiBert and Douzie will get you dancing as Douzie uses his trusty fiddle to play old traditionals with a modern twist while master storyteller and juggler TiBert gets everyone to join the jam with his jaw harp and variety of traditional percussions.

12:15 p.m. – Jay Stoller Drum Workshop – will open in a new tab

Experiences the exhilaration of creating rhythms and music together in this interactive program that uses a variety of instruments including drums and Boomwhackers.

12:50 p.m. – Walking Wolf Singers & Dancers – will open in a new tab

Walking Wolf Dancers & Singers perform traditional Aboriginal dances, sharing with audiences the stories and meanings behind them. The group’s performances include hoop dancers, jingle dancers, friendship dancers, drummers and chanters to captivate the audience.

1:25 p.m. – James Culleton Super Fun

Sing and dance along with children’s music innovator James Culleton.

Thursday, March 30

Learn about a unique form of Japanese music, the art of taiko, with Winnipeg‐based Hinode Taiko.

Experiences the exhilaration of creating rhythms and music together in this interactive program that uses a variety of instruments including drums and Boomwhackers.

12:50 p.m. – Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers – will open in a new tab

These Métis siblings share their passion for dancing and add their own special twist to the Red River Jig. You can’t help but join in!

1:25 p.m. – Jessee Havey & the Banana Band – will open in a new tab

Sing along with this fun kid’s music group fronted by Grammy and Juno Award‐winning singer, songwriter, and ukulele player Jessee Havey of The Duhks.
