Families and friends are invited to enjoy a magical afternoon with Santa Claus aboard the iconic CN2747, a historic steam locomotive that has become an enduring symbol of the Transcona community. Built in 1953 by the Canadian Locomotive Company, the CN2747 is a type of steam engine known as a “Mountain Type” locomotive. It served the Canadian National Railway for many years, helping to transport both freight and passengers across the country. Today, it stands as a rare and important piece of Canadian railway history, carefully preserved by the Transcona Museum.
