🎶 Volunteer Registration Now Open for the 2025 Winnipeg Folk Festival! 🎶

Just saw that Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteer sign-up is officially open for 2025, and figured it was worth sharing for anyone who’s been thinking about getting involved. It’s such a fun way to experience the festival, and honestly, it’s a big part of what makes it all come together every year.

🌟 Why Volunteer?

Every summer, thousands of people head out to Birds Hill Park for a weekend of live music, dancing, camping, and good vibes. What a lot of folks might not realize is that the whole thing is powered by a massive team of volunteers—over 2,800 of them!

It doesn’t matter if someone’s helped out before or is totally new to the idea—becoming a Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteer is a great way to meet people, learn something new, and be part of something that brings so much joy to the community.

How to Sign Up

  • Registration just opened (March 2025), and spots tend to fill up fast.

  • Anyone interested in being a Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteer can apply online at winnipegfolkfestival.ca/volunteer.

  • There are all kinds of volunteer teams, including:

    • Accessibility Services

    • Eco Team

    • Site Maintenance

    • Hospitality

    • Youth Engagement

    • Safety and Security

    • Merchandise

    • …and a bunch more

No matter what someone’s comfort level is—whether they like to be in the middle of the action or prefer something more behind-the-scenes—there’s probably a Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteer role that fits.

🎁 Perks of Volunteering

Aside from being part of an awesome community, Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteers also get:

  • A 4-day pass to the festival

  • Access to the volunteer camping area

  • Meals during shifts

  • A cool volunteer T-shirt

  • And access to fun, volunteer-only events

Not a bad trade for a few hours of helping out!

📅 Save the Dates

The festival is happening July 10–13, 2025, at Birds Hill Park, just a short drive from Winnipeg. If this sounds like something worth checking out, it’s better to apply sooner than later.

✨ One Last Thing

Becoming a Winnipeg Folk Festival Volunteer is honestly one of those things people talk about for years afterward. If someone’s been wanting to get more involved in the community, meet some great people, or just enjoy the festival in a different way, this could be the perfect chance.
