How you’ll be making an impact
Tree Canada is thrilled to continue supporting the greening of Fort Whyte Alive! This National Tree Day Planting Event aims to introduce additional trees along Fort Whyte Alive’s extensive trail systems. The planting sites are located throughout the understory of the aspen stands. The new trees will provide increased biodiversity, watershed protection, noise and dust reduction, thermal cover, wildlife habitat, soil stability, and recreational and aesthetic benefits, as well as cleaner air. Overall, integrating additional trees will enhance Fort Whyte Alive’s forest, creating a greener, more vibrant space for the community to enjoy.
