Explore the Exchange District with us as artists light up the neighbourhood. We will visit lanterns, light boxes, projections, window displays and more (list of participating artists below).
Participants are encouraged to continue their First Friday evening by grabbing dinner or a drink, taking in a show, visiting a gallery, or bringing their skates for the rink in Old Market Square!

LIGHTS ON THE EXCHANGE IS A WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL IN WINNIPEG’S EXCHANGE DISTRICT
From brick and terracotta buildings to storefronts, rooftops and alleyways, Lights on the Exchange – Allumez le Quartier invites you to explore light in its many forms and settings. Canadian artists curated by Artspace, Manufacturing Entertainment and Winnipeg’s Public Art Program create fresh, contemporary installations, sculptures and projections that reveal a reimagined history of the area. Featuring works by KC Adams, Yisa Akinbolaji, Bîstyek, Jonato Dalayoan, Anna Binta Diallo, Takashi Iwasaki, Claire Johnston, Natalie Mark, Justine Proulx, Paul Robles, Destiny Seymour, Jackie Traverse, Kaine McEwan, Matea Radic, Kelsey Braun, Seema Goel, Bonnie Marin, Sky Spence, Nereo Zorro, Eric Plamondon and Joe Kalturnyk, Diana Lynn VanderMeulen, Casey Koyczan, Kristen Roos and Sylivia Matas.
