Learn to Winter at The Forks invites everyone to embrace the season by staying active and enjoying outdoor activities. This program, designed for all ages, runs every weekend throughout January and February.

Skate and Snowshoe Lessons

Sundays | 1 PM and 2:30 PM

  • Snowshoeing: Registration is available through Kendrick’s Outdoor Adventures’ website. Participants meet in the northeast atrium of The Forks Market, near Kendrick’s pop-up location.
  • Skating: Drop-in lessons operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants meet in the Tower Atrium of The Forks Market.

Winter Wellness

Sundays (starting Jan 12) | 1 PM – 2 PM
Weekly workouts are held in the CN Field and led by Community Gym. Advance registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are also welcome.

  • Jan 19: CAMP (HIIT workout)
  • Jan 26: CALM (yoga flow)
  • Feb 2: CRUSH (shadowboxing workout)
  • Feb 9: CONNECT (Pilates workout)
  • Feb 16: CAMP (HIIT workout)
  • Feb 23: CALM (yoga flow)

Storytelling and Drumming in the Teepee

Sundays | 1 PM – 4 PM
Elder Barbara Nepinak will share stories and lead drumming sessions around the fire in the teepee.
