KICK OFF 2025 WITH A NEW YEAR’S DAY CELEBRATION AT THE FORKS
Celebrate New Year’s Day at The Forks with a variety of exciting festivities, including musical performances, games, crafts, drag shows, yoga and movement classes, and outdoor activities. There will be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.
Sara Stasiuk, Chief Executive Officer of The Forks North Portage, encourages visitors to “dive into winter and the new year by making it your resolution to have more fun, activity, and community connection in 2025.” The event will feature a great lineup of events and performances to help reset for the year ahead during New Year’s Day at The Forks.
The festivities will run from 11 AM to 4 PM and take place across The Forks site.

INSIDE THE FORKS MARKET:
Drag Performances
Visitors can grab a bite to eat from The Forks Market while enjoying a variety of drag performances and DJ sets curated by Synonym Art Consultation.
Games and Crafts
Kids of all ages can play board games and enjoy crafts in the second-floor lounge.
Health and Wellness Classes
Adrienne Shum and fellow instructors will offer yoga, connection, and mobility classes in the second-floor event space. These classes are free, but spots are limited, so visitors are encouraged to check The Forks’ social media accounts and website for registration details.
OUTDOORS:
Musical Performances
A lineup of local musicians and DJs will be performing near the Canopy Rink.
Learn to Winter
Visitors can take part in skate lessons at the Canopy Rink.
Storytelling in the Teepee
Elder Barbara Nepinak will gather visitors around the fire inside the teepee for drumming and storytelling.

Family Activities
The Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba will invite families to the Agowiidiwinan Centre, offering speakers and workshops throughout the day.
All of the day’s events are free to attend. A schedule will be available on www.TheForks.com closer to New Year’s Day at The Forks.
The Forks Market will be open during standard hours (7 am – 10 pm) on Dec. 31.
