Are you interested in learning about the tuition-free Diesel Exhaust Emission Reduction Systems micro-credential course at Red River College Polytechnic? This course is part of a training initiative to provide workers with new skills needed to support a clean economy. It is fully funded by Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) and the Government of Canada. The course teaches students the latest technologies employed in light- and heavy-duty emission reduction systems and is imperative for the diagnosis and repair of after-treatment systems and reducing harmful exhaust emissions.
The course provides proficiency in emission reduction theory and the tiers of emission control, understanding of operation, control strategies and diagnostic procedures for diesel after-treatment systems, and knowledge of the fundamentals to diagnose and repair Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems, as well as Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) systems.

This course is developed for diesel and heavy-equipment technicians, as well as for related trades. The course is offered in-person at the Notre Dame Campus from December 11 to 15, 2023, and is 35 hours long. The course is free of charge and provides a micro-credential upon completion.
