The Manitoba Museum is excited to partner with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries to present First Fridays programming! Enjoy free admission to the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery. No ticket is required unless otherwise specified.

Wackydoodle Dance Party

Alloway Hall | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
A high-energy, family-friendly DJ experience with Winnipeg’s dynamic duo, K Chedda and DJ Co-op. Expect pop, hip-hop, funk, Motown, and soul—spun at kid-friendly volumes.

Paleontology Pop-up

Earth History Gallery | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Meet members of the University of Manitoba’s Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie as they showcase fossils, skeletons, and geological treasures from their collection.

I Belong Here

Urban Corridor | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Indigenous Scholar in Residence Lucy Lindell shares digital art prints that reimagine museum spaces as Indigenous teachings, affirming cultural beauty and belonging.

The Museum Collection Illuminated

Discovery Room | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Explore unusual artifacts curated from the Museum’s vaults, including an 11lb Giant Puffball mushroom, an ornate bison horn chair, and a 500 BCE wine pitcher.

Hands-on Fun in the Science Gallery

Science Gallery | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Experiment with hands-on activities, illusions, and interactive science exhibits. Plus, explore the brand-new Toddler Zone for kids 3 and under.

Guest Scientists: Living Laboratory

Explore Science Zone | 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Participate in fun research studies with University of Manitoba researchers to learn about child development in this interactive educational lab.

Planetarium Shows

Planetarium | 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Manitoba Skies Live Show: Every half hour, starting at 4:30 pm (last show at 8:30 pm).

Free Admission to Winnipeg Police Museum

The Winnipeg Police Museum offers free admission and features artifacts dating back to the late 1800s, vintage vehicles and motorcycles, and stories highlighting the history and service of the Winnipeg Police Service, located at 245 Smith Street and open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
